An A1 printer has the capability to print on pages which are of the A1 size which is 594 × 841 millimeters or 23.39 × 33.11 inch. Anything above or below this size like an A4 size will mean that the dimensions of the print out will be a mismatch and the image will either be too small or too big for the paper. The A1 size is part of a range of page sizes, known as the ISO A or ISO 216 standard. A1 is actually referred to as the DIN A1 since it is based on the German DIN 476 standard from 1922.

Well, one of the advantages of the A1 size of a paper is that it can be converted into other smaller and larger paper sizes easily without any measurements. If you want to change the size of a paper from A1 to A0, all you have to do is place two A1 papers in spread next to each other. You will then have a page having the dimensions of the A0 size. For converting the A1 into an A2 size, fold the A1 page into two along its shortest side.
An A1 size is enough to print images from a camera. Through an inkjet printer or a laser printer, you can get quality prints on an A1 size. Computer printers meant for the A1 size are mostly capable of performing all printing tasks. A good example of a quality photo printer meant for the A1 size is the Epson Stylus Pro 7880. If you are an architect or a designer, then an A1 printer will suit you the best. The A1 size is the preferred choice by most architects and it is also recommended by most designers. This is the reason architects get their plans printed on an A1 design. You can print home plans designed on AutoCAD on an A1 paper size.
All that you have to do is to make a correction in the paper setting before printing a page. When you give the computer the command to print a document, it shows the paper settings before going ahead with the printing task. Select A1 in the paper size and then click print. An A1 printer will easily meet all your needs and you shouldn’t hesitate in buying one. Print your images as well as home plans on the A1 size and you will see that this size is as good as any other paper size.
